Description
The 2018/2020 Osmanthus Scented Ya Xi Loose Leaf Tibetan Tea is a masterful fusion of Ya’an’s traditional Tibetan dark tea with the delicate floral essence of osmanthus blossoms. The base tea originates from the 2018 Ya Xi Loose Leaf Tibetan Tea, made from the Lao Chuan Cha (Old Sichuan Tea) cultivar and meticulously processed over six months to develop its rich character and depth. In September 2020, this tea was carefully scented four times with freshly harvested osmanthus flowers from Ya’an. The scenting process, carried out with precision, allowed the tea leaves to naturally absorb the floral aroma at the peak of the osmanthus bloom. This delicate infusion enhances the tea’s underlying richness, creating a harmonious balance between the deep, earthy notes of Tibetan tea and the sweet, honeyed fragrance of osmanthus. The result is a tea that balances warmth and floral elegance, offering a smooth, full-bodied infusion with subtle fruity undertones and a lingering, golden sweetness. The osmanthus accentuates the tea’s natural depth, providing a refined sensory experience that bridges the bold tradition of Tibetan dark tea with the ethereal charm of floral-scented teas.
