Description
Tie Guan Yin is one of the most famous teas exported from China and an exemplary of Chinese oolongs. It has a history of around 300 years, and its varietal shares the same name. Compared with traditional style Tie Guan Yin, this modern style is less oxidized and less roasted (with a lower temperature and fewer times), highlighting its unique aroma resembling that of orchid flowers. This tea is floral and fresh, which gained it more popularity in the mass market than the traditional Tie Guan Yin. The autumn harvest tends to be more fragrant and rarer than spring harvest, thus it is coveted by many tea enthusiasts.
