Description
Mangfei ancient tea mountain is a famous tea producing region in Yongde county of Lincang. With nearly 500 acres of tea forest at 1380 to 1650 meters elevation, Mangfei is known as one of the origins of tea trees and has a well-preserved natural environment. Many of the tea trees are over 100 years old, and the variety is mostly Mangfei Da Ye Zhong, a renowned local variety. This tea was harvested in the spring of 2013 from Dashu (big trees) that are over 100 years old. It has been stored in Chengdu, Sichuan ever since. The loose leaf form allows for more contact with air compared with compressed cakes, leading to faster aging and transformation.
