Description
This traditionally restored curly-style green tea comes from Yunwu, a town whose name literally means “cloud mist”—a fitting reflection of its high-altitude terroir, where tea gardens thrive among mist-covered mountains. Yunwu Tribute Tea has a legacy dating back centuries, once produced as tribute for the imperial court. To this day, a large stone stele erected in 1790 still stands in Yunwu Town, bearing witness to this legacy of royal tea production. Harvested on April 6, 2025, using the one bud and one leaf picking standard, this green tea was crafted from Niao Wang, a local heirloom cultivar. The leaves are hand-plucked and carefully processed, resulting in finely curled dry leaves covered in delicate silver hairs. In the cup, this tea offers a clean, fresh taste with a gentle umami note—a beautifully balanced expression of both its misty mountain origin and timeless tribute tea heritage.
