Description
Mei Zhan is an extremely popular tea varietal with big leaves originated from Lutian town. Since over one hundred years ago, it started being planted in many tea regions.
When being made in the Anxi oolong style, it’s usually roasted like traditional Tie Guan Yin. It’s also well-known when made into rock tea and black tea in Wuyishan, and it could also be made into white tea or green tea.
This tea was harvested from the varietal’s birthplace and named after the varietal, where the producer is an inheritor of intangible cultural heritage of Mei Zhan teas.
Took the day off. It was nice to spend some time drinking this tea with my sister and reading a book. It has a lovely roasted flavor that lasted even through the fifth infusion, with hints of fruit.

Returning to a tea we both enjoyed, but using the ZhuNi teapot! This tea has such a nice aftertaste. It's smokey upfront and then transforms into sweet fruit or buttery pie crust.

Overnight cold brew! The color is a pale golden. The aroma is very faint. The taste is also faint at first, with only hints of floral and smoke, but there's still a delicious fruit… more

Tea with Christian and our friend M! It's a golden color with aroma and flavor that's roasted, sweet, somewhat fruity, and somewhat floral. The aftertaste is really good.

Lovely tea. The first brew has a strong barley taste. Reminds me of Korean barley tea.

So glad I joined the tea club, this tea was really good. I enjoyed all 7 steeps. I usually get tired of drinking the same tea for multiple brews but this one I could drink all day. I'm not very good at flavor profiles.
