About this event

Join me and other MyTeaPal club members to taste, compare, and discuss these teas together! 2006 Autumn Daxueshan Arbor Tree Sheng Pu'er Tea Brick: Produced in October 2006 from autumn-harvested Mengku Large Leaf Variety material, this custom-made brick was picked to a one bud with two leaves standard. The tea is described as rich and full-bodied, with bitterness and astringency that gradually resolve into returning sweetness and lingering salivation. After nearly twenty years of aging, the dry leaf retains a subtle smoky aroma that has become one of its distinctive characteristics. After production, this tea was stored in Kunming from 2006 to 2013 before continuing its aging in Chengdu under the care of producer and collector You Cai. This two-stage storage history adds another dimension to its transformation over nearly twenty years. 2006 Spring Daxueshan Arbor Tree Sheng Pu'er Tea Brick: Compressed in 2006 using spring 2005 Mengku Large Leaf Variety material, this brick demonstrates how compression can influence long-term aging. Its unusually tight compression slowed its transformation over time, resulting in a tea described as delicate and sweet, with good returning sweetness, lingering salivation, excellent endurance, and pronounced cha qi after nearly two decades of aging. After production, this tea was stored in Kunming from 2006 to 2013 before continuing its aging in Chengdu under the care of producer and collector You Cai. This two-stage storage history adds another dimension to its transformation over nearly twenty years. Looking forward to comparing these teas with you at our event!
