Description
Wuliangshan is a famous mountain located in the Nanjian Yi Autonomous County, not only for its tea production but also for sightseeing. A cherry blossom valley on one side of Wuliangshan is a beautiful and popular site that attracts many tourists every year. This tea is produced near the cherry blossom valley, and the tea trees were planted a few decades ago using the robust Yun Kang No.10 cultivar, which was selectively bred from tea trees in Nannuoshan by Yunnan Province Academy of Agricultural Sciences Institute of Tea. This cultivar was recognized as a national level cultivar in 1987, sharing the same title with only four other cultivars in Yunnan. The picking standard for this tea is one bud two leaves, mostly from the first flush harvest in the spring.
