Description: The name Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong literally means "Original Mountain Small Varietal", referring to the Tongmu Guan of the Tongmu village and the small leaf varietal used to produce this tea. It is sometimes referred to as the unsmoked version of Lapsang Souchong. The picking standard is 1 bud and 3 leaves. The liquor color is bright orange/red, the taste is uniquely sweet, and the texture is smooth and thick, making this tea to be favored by many black tea enthusiasts. The wildly grown Wuyi Cai Cha cultivar possesses a wild and natural taste, as if taking you to the mountains surrounded by clouds and mist.

Revisiting this tongmu Zhang Shan xiao zhong. Super yumm! Perfect tea for early spring before my body is ready for the greens. Warming, sweet, relaxing, but hopeful like experiencing the buds coming on the trees.
