- Description
- Doke Rolling Thunder Oolong is a semi fermented tea, giving pale brew with a refreshing honey flavor. The taste is reminiscent of spring vegetation and differs from occidental varieties having golden brew and a different flavor. It is cultivated on the lowlands of the Bihar region. The tea garden lies pristine in pure and natural environment, away from road traffic, free of pollution and use of pesticides. The tea is manufactured traditionally by hand. We have rediscovered the art of manufacturing oriental Oolong tea. You can drink Oolong tea throughout the day, with and between meals. The tea is especially effective in reducing cholesterol levels and thus goes excellent after fatty meals. Recent Japanese research suggests that Oolong tea reduces blood pressure and prevents atherosclerotic diseases. -Description provided by Doke Tea

First infusion was a bit underwhelming. The second one was much better. Curious about brewing at a lower temperature or cold brew. Still 10 grams left! 😊🍵

Back to a tea session after a month of busy moving. First time with the indian oolong. I started to enjoy this at the later steeps. Now will try it cold.

A very interesting tea. I didn’t know what to think about it at first. It smells like an oolong but tastes more like a white tea. Towards the 3rd or 4th infusion it started tasting like sweet bread to me.

A very interesting tea. Has a strong fruity smell from the wet leaves, like many oolongs that I enjoy, but it tastes like a tart and sweet white tea.

Full body with earth, mineral & roast taste. A bit of bitterness at the first of the sip with a long-lasting juicy, sweetness which seems to return after a bit of delay.
