Description
Qi Hong Mao Feng, a distinctive variation within the realm of Qi Hong, stands out with its elegantly curved shape, drawing inspiration from the shaping techniques of Huangshan Maofeng. This unique tea, born out of innovation in 1997, deviates from the conventional processes associated with traditional Keemun Gongfu. Crafted with more modern techniques, Qi Hong Mao Feng boasts enhanced crafting methods, focusing on simplicity and efficiency. Unlike the traditional approach involving tedious shaking, sifting, sorting, and pressing, Qi Hong Mao Feng allows the leaves to express their natural form. Primarily composed of one bud and one or two leaves, the raw material undergoes a meticulous journey of withering, rolling, oxidation, and gentle baking. This careful process transforms the initially green leaves into a vibrant copper-red hue, accompanied by the release of a fragrant aroma. In contrast to the robust 'Qimen fragrance' found in its traditional counterpart, Qi Hong Mao Feng emphasizes sweet floral notes. The result is a tea with more complete leaves and a delightful sweet floral fragrance, offering a contemporary twist on the classic Qi Hong experience.
