Meng Ding Gan Lu (蒙顶甘露, lit. Meng Ding Sweet Dew [or Honeydew]) is a lesser known but extremely fine Chinese green tea. Orginally designated a tribute tea for over a thousand years, Meng Ding Gan Lu is often ranked among the top ten Chinese tea.
Harvested and made on March 12, 2021, this tea is made only from tea buds picked from early spring. Its processing method requires three stages of pan frying and rolling, with the finished tea being distinctly recognizable by the appearance of the buds, which are curly and covered with soft and fluffy down.
Flavors: chestnut, sweet, mellow
