Description
Jian'ou Old Bush Shui Xian (建瓯老丛水仙) grows from more than 50-year-old old-bush trees in the ecological tea gardens of Mei village mountain field, Nanya Town, which is a classic high-quality Shui Xian producing area. At approximately 500 meters elevation, the gravelly soil is rich in nutrients and the area is enveloped in mist with gentle sunlight, allowing the old-bush trees to grow slowly and naturally develop rich cluster aroma and deep character. Harvested annually in late April and crafted with medium roasting fire using the specialized traditional Beiyuan old bush craftsmanship: withering, bruising and oxidation, and slow charcoal baking all done to fully express the authentic flavor of Old Bush Shui Xian . The aroma features pure and serene orchid notes layered with the characteristic woody cluster fragrance of old bushes. The liquor is bright orange yellow, thick and full bodied, with a silky smooth, mellow, and warming mouthfeel. It offers rich, warm, lingering sweetness and pronounced old bush rock and floral character with multi layered complexity and an enduring aftertaste.
