Description
This Jasmine Loose Tibetan Tea is an extraordinary fusion of Tibetan dark tea and the exquisite fragrance of jasmine flowers. Jasmine is traditionally used to scent green teas in Sichuan, making this scented dark tea a remarkable deviation from the norm. Unique in its approach, this tea was scented four times during the summer of 2023 with premium jasmine flowers sourced from Qianwei County, a region renowned for its high-quality jasmine. This intricate process involves timing each scenting phase to coincide with the night-time blooming of the jasmine, ensuring the tea leaves absorb the flowers' most potent and aromatic essences. The scenting ritual transforms the robust base of Tibetan tea into a fragrant oasis, merging two distinct traditions into a singular, harmonious blend. Following the scenting, the tea undergoes a careful drying process, which serves to lock in the delicate jasmine aroma while ensuring the tea's moisture content is perfectly balanced for longevity. This step is crucial for maintaining the tea's freshness and aroma, allowing the jasmine's light, refreshing notes to complement the dark tea's depth. The result is a tea that not only captivates with its scent but also offers a nuanced taste profile, bridging the gap between traditional Tibetan tea and the aromatic pleasure of scented teas.
