Description
Drifting Snowflake (飘雪) is a delicately scented jasmine green tea, named for the way jasmine petals gracefully float among the tea leaves when brewed—resembling drifting snowflakes. Made with 2024 early spring green tea, this tea undergoes a meticulous scenting process in summer 2024, where it is infused with the aroma of fresh jasmine flowers five times, each time using a new batch of unbloomed jasmine buds that open overnight. The base tea is an all-bud green tea, carefully selected from the early spring harvest, setting it apart from many commercial jasmine teas that rely on lower-cost summer harvest leaves. The tea itself features straight, needle-like buds that stand vertically when steeped in a glass cup, creating an elegant and mesmerizing visual effect. During the traditional scenting process, jasmine flowers from Qianwei County are picked just before blooming on hot August nights and layered with the tea leaves. Each morning, after fully blooming and releasing their fragrance, the spent flowers are removed, and fresh buds are introduced for the next round of scenting. This process is repeated five times, allowing the tea to fully absorb the pure, natural jasmine essence. Finally, the tea undergoes a gentle baking process, ensuring a perfect balance between the floral aroma and the tea’s delicate sweetness while maintaining optimal moisture levels for long-term storage. The result is an exquisite jasmine green tea with a refreshing, lingering aroma, a smooth yet bright taste, and a naturally sweet aftertaste. Its visual beauty, fine craftsmanship, and refined floral fragrance make it a true tea connoisseur’s delight.
