Steeping instructions
Gongfu style at 100˚C/212˚F. Unnecessary to rinse. Zisha teapot is slightly preferred to gaiwan. Depending on your desired intensity, use 5-9g : 110ml ratio. Flash steep or very short steeping time for the first 3 infusions, and then extend as wanted.
Description
It is the first merchandise Dahongpao in the market which is developed in 1990 by Wuyishan Tea Institution, famous for the high baking and strong aroma, which is the representative of traditional Dahongpao. Dry Leaves: The shape and color are uniform, brown, and dark with warm tones. The aroma is fresh, with roasted and plum fragrance. It also has slight aromas of honey, cumin, cloves and cinnamon, tobacco and other spices. Tea Liquor: It is dark and crimson. Strong tone, clear. Wet Leaves: The leaves are dark brown with a purple tone, and some parts of the leaves turn back to green. The tea gives a scent of damp forest fires, aged herbs, fragrant flowers and woody aromas. Taste: It has rich and thick, sweet and medicinal incense. The taste of dried fruits, the aroma of spices, humid pine forest, dates and longan.
