Description
Shou puerh made from gushu (ancient trees) material using small-batch fermentation is very rare. The leaves of this tea come from ancient tea trees over 200 years old residing in a remote village at Bulang township. The environment of the ancient forest is well-preserved, where the tea trees are usually 4-5 meters tall, with some being 6 meters. Since the number of ancient tea trees is limited, there’s not enough leaves to perform big-batch fermentation in the traditional way. With the technique breakthroughs in recent years, small-batch fermentation was made possible, giving rise to more gushu shou puerh on the market. This tea’s fermentation process was done inside bamboo baskets off the ground. Pressed on April 8, 2020.
