Description
Harvested on September 15, 2016, this aged Shou Mei was stored in loose leaf format until December 18, 2019, when it was compressed into a chocolate bar shape. Originating from Panxi Town, one of the finest micro-regions in Fuding, this tea is known for its high-quality production. Autumn harvest teas, like this one, offer a richer and warmer flavor compared to spring harvests. This tea has been aged for eight years to develop a deeper, more reflective profile, with a thick texture and comforting notes. The chocolate bar shape, totaling 30 grams and divided into six pieces of 5 grams each, allows for convenient brewing while maintaining the tea's quality. Shou Mei (寿眉, lit. Longevity Eyebrow) is crafted from naturally withered tips, leaves, and sometimes stems, resulting in a unique white tea that benefits from its coarser leaves and stems. These components provide a rich content and flavor profile, giving Shou Mei excellent aging potential, as the tea's robust nature allows it to develop deeper, more complex flavors over time.
