Description
This Spring 2026 green tea comes from Wuzhi Mountain in Hainan, one of China’s least-known tea regions. For many tea drinkers, Hainan is associated more with tropical fruit, rainforest, and island landscapes than with tea, which makes this a rare opportunity to taste green tea from China’s southern island mountains. The tea grows at 300m+ above sea level in a warm, humid, forested mountain environment. The Wuzhi Mountain area has high forest coverage, clean water, and strong natural growing conditions, giving the tea a fresh and gentle character. Made from a medium-small leaf tea-tree type and picked between Qingming and Grain Rain, this tea is processed as a baked green tea. Its classic character is described as “three greens”: green dry leaves, green liquor, and green infused leaves. The cup is clean, refreshing, and easy to drink, with a gentle bean-like aroma, soft vegetal sweetness, and a light tropical mountain freshness. It is not a heavy or aggressive green tea; its charm is in its clarity, softness, and unusual origin.
