Description
This black tea comes from the deep mountains of Fengqing, one of Yunnan’s most important black tea regions. The leaves were picked in spring 2023 from ecological purple-bud ancient tea trees growing around 2100 meters, near the Lancang River, in a high, misty, and sparsely disturbed mountain environment. The tea was made from one bud with one or two leaves, then sun-withered, hand-processed, gently rolled, fermented, and sun-dried. Although fully processed as a black tea, it is not a heavy or roasted style. Instead, it keeps a fresh, vivid quality that reflects both the high elevation and the purple-bud material. The cup is bright and aromatic, with layered notes of flower honey, ripe fruit, and a clean lingering sweetness. After several years of settling, the tea feels rounded but still lively, with a long aftertaste and enough depth to continue aging.
